無印良品キャンプ場のポスターが完成しました！
無印良品の店舗にて５月からご覧いただける予定です。

新村デザイン事務所の新村則人さんとのコラボレーションです。日光と植物だけを使って、実際の植物のサイズのまま、B１ポスターのシリーズを作りました。ワンダフルなプロジェクトになりました。

This years Muji Camp posters have been completed, from May the posters will be on display in various Muji stores in Tokyo and around Japan. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with Norito Shinmura san of Shinmura Design Office on this project for Muji Camp (Mujirushi-ryouhin campsite).

For this project we created a series of B1 posters, making life size blue prints using only sunlight and plants. It’s been a wonderful project to work on.

I was doing a little job for Lucite International and stayed an extra day or two to enjoy the sights and sounds and THE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a great time, the night markets are FAB! and I even had a trip down to Kaohsiung on the HSR high speed train. If you go to Taiwan of course enjoy Taipei, but don’t forget to travel around this beautiful and fascinating country. Here are a few pics of the lovely food and tea………enjoy.

昨日、professionalでcleverでfunな女性５人と作品撮影をしました。modelさん、Hair & make-up stylistさん皆様のteamworkがすごいうれしかったです。皆様本当にありがとうございました。:-)　いい写真が撮れましたし、楽しかったです。

Yesterday I was lucky enough to do some test photo shooting with a fantastic group of talented people; Hair & make-up stylists and models. The photo shoot was a real team effort by one and all, so a big thank you to everyone. We got some great pictures and had a fun day! Oh and for me it was especially great, because I got to spend a whole day with 5 lovely ladies!

Sultana Scones

今朝、友達が家に来ました。甘い物がなかったので、すぐにスコーンを作りました。Tea and Sconesはおいしいですよ！

This morning a friend dropped by to discuss some work, we didn’t have any snacks or biscuits so quickly I made some Sultana Scones, they are always nice with a cup of tea and a chat.

Beef Stew and Thyme Dumplings

「イギリス料理はマズいよね〜」というセリフを何度聞いたことか。。。そこで決心しました！小さなプロジェクトを始めようと。私が好きなイギリス料理、特別な思い入れのあるイギリス料理を私が紹介しよう！と。これから少しづつ紹介しますので読んでいただけたら嬉しいです。

早速、昨日はタイムのダンプリンが入ったビーフシチューを作りました。母がよく冬に作ってくれました。家に帰って大きな器に入ったシチューを見つけた時といったら。寒かった体がほかほかになります。母はプレーンのダンプリンを作っていましたが、今回はタイムを入れてみました。ビーフシチューによく合います。

Having become very tired of hearing from Japanese people how bad English food is, I’ve decided to start a little project to share some English food that I love or has special meaning to me. Please check in from time to time to see what I am cooking.  :-)

Yesterday I made beef stew with thyme dumplings. My Mum used to make this a lot during the winter, it was great to get home and find a big bowl of this waiting for me, very warming on a cold day. My Mum usually made plain dumplings, I have added some Thyme,  it really compliments the beef stew.

Valentines Day Caffe Latte (with Chocolate) Yum Yum!

A few weeks ago we shot this image for Segafredo for Valentines Day, not only does it look good but the Caffe Latte and chocolate tastes great too. Yum Yum.

I was lucky enough to have one of my images printed in the international creators magazine called Eloquence as part of the “TOKYO-GA” project and exhibition. It’s an impressive magazine and very well printed too. I think I can speak on behalf of my fellow artists who also had work shown in this magazine with a warm “Thank you”

Real Green GRASS!!!!!!

Having lived in Tokyo for a good few years now, I’ve sort of got used to the concrete metropolis that it is. There are large parks where you can while away an afternoon in an oasis of green, however due to a large population and high land prices you generally find the closer you are to the city centre, the less green spaces you will see. Around my neighbourhood there are a few tiny parks for kids to play, but there is no grass, just swings, slides, a tree or two, some shrubs and then more concrete.

So today as I strolled along, taking a different route to the station I came upon the above, it was a revelation REAL GREEN GRASS!!!!!! probably no bigger than a few meters square and yet in the sunshine I wanted to sit there and have a picnic, I wanted to be barefoot and feel the green grass between my toes! But seeing as it’s someones private property I took this picture instead and walked on with a smile on my face and a skip in my step. The moral of the story if there is one, is don’t underestimate the colour GREEN.
